We’ll Help heal your body.
I have been to the S.M.A.R.T. Clinic at Elite a lot in the past few years because of injuries I've had playing softball, basketball and tennis. Mike (Thompson) is always the first person I go to with any of these sports injuries. He has always taken great care of me and whatever injury I've had. I've been here for a really bad case of Tennis Elbow that was so incredibly painful, but the deep tissue massage and other therapies he used helped get rid of that pain. I also have been here for tendinitis in the soleus muscle of my left leg, tendinitis in my arm, and tendinitis in my upper trap area. Mike uses the ARPWave Therapy machine with me, along with deep tissue therapy (from him and from Tammy, their massage therapist), as a part of my plan. The ARP just really loosens everything up and helps the pain go away faster. I'll be starting to play tennis in a couple weeks (Brookfield East High Varsity Tennis) and if I have any repetitive motion/overuse injuries, I know I will be returning to Mike to take care of me! 🙂
My son Christian E, is a varsity tennis player at Catholic Memorial High School. He was diagnosed with Rotator Cuff Tendinitis a couple months back, and it was fairly painful, with a lot of restricted movement in his shoulder. I thought Christian wasn't even going to play tennis at all this season. He tried traditional PT and while it helped him, he was still experiencing intermittent pain and some restricted movement. Then, Randy Stolpe, the head Tennis PRO here at Elite Sports Club, had me talk to Mike Thompson with the S.M.A.R.T. Clinic here at Elite. Mike tried a new procedure called ARPWave on Christian. He started receiving the ARPWave treatment 3 times a week, along with traditional PT from Sandy and Marissa at the S.M.A.R.T. Clinic at Elite West Brookfield. Right away Christian started feeling much better! We had Christian's orthopedic doctor examine him, and he noticed that his muscles were a lot stronger than when he first had his diagnosis. Christian got the okay to play tennis this season, and he only had a few small twinges of pain the first part of the season. By the second half of the season, he was completely pain-free and ended up winning his Conference and qualifying for State. I'm just so impressed with ARPWave and the results we got from Mike and his team.
I have been doing ARPWave therapy for about three years now. I started after returning from a trip to Arizona. I really enjoy hiking and was very disapointed when my knees hurt so bad that I could not even hike a mile. It got so bad, I could hardly walk up a flight of stairs or get through a set of tennis. I have seen orthopedic docs, chiropractors, and therapists. To me surgery is a last resort, so I did some research and decided to have Mike Thompson treat me with the ARP machine. After a couple of sessions the pain disappeared and I gained most of my mobility back. I went on Mike's maintenance plan and ARPWave Therapy several times a week when I am in town. I now play tennis three to four times a week with almost no pain and I do not take any drugs. I have done extensive research an ARP and have talked to professional athletes who have used ARP with great success. I talked to a pro hockey player who was going to retire because he had so much pain. He did ARPWave therapy and played six more years If you have an injury or chronic pain, I highly recommend trying ARP therapy before you have any type of surgery. I have even talked to people who used ARP both pre and post surgery to speed their recover. In some cases they returned to full activity in half the normal time. I am a huge proponent of the ARPWave Therapy and the S.M.A.R.T. Clinic.
After nearly one year of physical therapy at the Smart Clinic, I wanted to thank the staff for their continual care and compassion towards my goal of becoming healthy and strong. Sandy went above and beyond and encouraged me to be patient in the healing process. As a result of her and the staff I am now able to return to work and function in full capacity. I highly recommend there services, I believe your outcome will be as good as my experience!
Tendinitis in my left elbow flared up after an incident last winter when I was gripping the handle when operating my snowblower. I have a high pain tolerance, so I ignored the pain for awhile. But I'm a golfer and when I set up to swing and gripped the club, it was painful! I also found it difficult to grab and carry items including my briefcase. I talked to Mike (Thompson) at the S.M.A.R.T. Clinic and he got me set up with my physical therapist, Sandy Moloney. She was great at working with me, and slowly but surely I made some nice progress! She worked with me and believe it or not, I am now close to 100%! I occasionally wear a golf brace just to protect my elbow, but honestly I cant even remember the last time I had a twinge of pain there. I appreciate how Sandy helped me.
Sandy built a trusting relationship with my daughter, providing her with personal attention and innovative therapy techniques/exercises to treat her scoliosis. Sessions were aimed at decreasing her back pain while reinforcing that a healthier back was within her control. Her pain control has improved significantly in addition to her flexibility and strength. The expereince was incredibly positive. Kudos to Sandy and the S.M.A.R.T. Clinic.
Sandy Moloney, P.T is as good as it gets! She looked for the root cause of my pain, and helped me finally find relief from a chronic running injury in my hip and lower back. Sandy is kind and extremely knowledgeable and always puts her patients first. She is a fabulous listener, extremely sensitive and supported me along the way as I trained for a fall marathon. She is positive, realistic and encouraging. Absolutely superb!I would recommend Sandy Moloney without reservation to anyone seeking first-class physical therapy!
